Employment & Training
The goal of the Employment & Training Division is to provide
stable and meaningful employment to allow individuals/families
to become self-sufficient. Core, Intensive, and Training Services
are offered to meet the individual needs of our clientele. Our
services include programs for Adult, Youth, and Dislocated Workers.
A non-profit organization funded by the Full Employment Council, Workforce Development Board and the Div. of Workforce Development An equal opportunity employer / program. Workforce Investment Act Program (WIA)
West Central has trained professionals to assist you in finding the right job or career that you want.
We can assist you in finding a job on Missouri’s Great Hires Web Site. There are over 124,000 businesses that are registered in Great Hires, looking for the right employee. Our trained professionals can assist you on obtaining one of the jobs. We have other programs available.

- On-The-Job Training programs.
- Tuition Assistance to help pay for college.
On-site resource room available with computers and Internet service to help you do job search, make resumes, and fill out applications on line. An instructor is available in the resource room to assist you.

Career Assistance Program (CAP)
The state of Missouri’s Career Assistance Program (CAP) assists Temporary Assistance for Needy Families recipients in job preparation and training, and helps them secure full-time employment.
Cash assistance provided through the state of Missouri is time-limited. Any month in which a parent/caretaker receives a cash grant from any state will count toward their sixty-month time limit.
All Temporary Assistance for Needy Families recipients whose youngest child is one year and older must participate in a work activity. The Workforce Development Board (WDB)/Missouri Career Center and the Family Support Division are working together to provide job readiness, employment and supportive services to our participants. Our goal is to promote self-sufficiency in the West Central Region through job training and employment services that leads to a good career.
