Youth Services Division

Under the direction of the Youth Services Division, the Head Start program operates in our nine county service area. Currently, 24 classrooms and one home-based program serve over 450 children. In addition, full day, full-year services are provided to nearly 70 pregnant women, infants, and toddlers through the Early Head Start program in four counties. These services are provided in both a licensed facility operated by the Youth Services Division, and through partnerships with licensed child care providers in the community.

Our staff and child care partners ensure the delivery of quality early childhood education, development, and health services, while engaging in the ongoing process of collaborative family and community partnerships. Parents are actively involved in the program through shared governance, which ensures full participation in our program design and management.
